概要	Regarding personal demographics, a section of the study analyzed the subjects' backgrounds (i.e. sex, age, years as a medium or minister, etc). The main part of the study used a qualitative format to inquire into specific aspects of the ministers' mediumship. Primarily, the study focused on the ministers' awareness of mediumistic gifts, initial experience with mediumship, and the use of tools in their mediumship work. This ethnographies-religious study of Spiritualist mediums and ministers offered insight and understanding into how Spiritualist mediums and ministers have transformed or diversified over the years.
